Cindy

Lately Memphis has certainly received its fair share of negative headlines. Our most recent #1 status on the list of violent crime cities, our troubled administration and city corruption all seem like daily headlines. So I wonder, why do I still love this city? It is a tough question but an easy answer. Memphis has certainly made its place in the history books. Memphis also is no stranger to rebuilding and revitalization. Downtown has seen one of the most progressive revitalization efforts of the country and continues to prosper daily. The entertainment and arts districts of this city are thriving and provide amusement to all types and ages. The nightlife is like no other. Beale Street, the center of the entertainment, music and blues revolution is visited by millions of people yearly.

So you tell me. Why do you live here? What neighborhoods are your favorites and why? Where do you shop? Where do you eat? What can you tell us that isn't written in the history books or on the script of the tourism company. Tell me what is GOOD about Memphis, I dare you!
